The Invisible Heart is a story of what happens when investment meets charity.
Canadian Director/Producer Nadine Pequeneza explores the idea of Social Impact Bonds, and targeting literacy and childhood development through private money resources.
It’s an idea I won’t explain in detail, because the documentary unfolds an incredible story.
But as the Nova Scotia government discusses SIBs, social services and private sector financiers work together to teach children.
They began in the United Kingdom and hopefully, within the next few years, can help our children learn here.
The ideas are new to me here and incredibly interesting. I was enthralled for the entire run-time.
The film plays October 3 at Neptune Theatre, followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker.
