Game Night is the type of film you feel terrible for laughing at, but the dark themes and situational peril are so deftly balanced that you can’t help it.
Jason Bateman and Rachel MacAdams star as that annoying couple who have to turn everything into a competition.
And yet, we love them, because these are probably the two most likeable actors on the planet.
They host a game night every week with their band of crass friends, but things go awry when a murder mystery party ends with Bateman’s brother being kidnapped: for real.
The film has a great cast and is one of the biggest surprises of early 2018. It’s a studio comedy that is actually funny. Hilarious, in fact.
